Nautique boats are designed to give you the best performance out on the water. When you or someone in your boating party is looking for a better time with watersports activities, there are a lot of features on these models that’ll help you achieve that goal. But there are also a number of other ways you can improve your wake. We here at The Harbor have provided a few of them to get you started, but for more information on accessories that’ll boost your Nautique boat’s wake, contact our experienced staff at our location in Branson, Missouri. We also serve those from Springfield and Kansas City.

The Nautique Surf System® (NSS)

When you get a Nautique boat, this is the feature that’s going to take your surfing experience up to an 11. The NSS is designed to give you longer, more perfectly formed waves to make surfing, wakeboarding, skiing, and tubing even more exciting. Whether you’re out to practice or just to have a good time, it’s this feature that’s going to make all the difference.

Piloting the Boat

While a great wake system is a key part of creating a better experience, so is how you pilot the boat. Getting the best waves will likely be an art that you’ll perfect over time. A good wake surfing speed is around 20 or 25 mph, but the trick is to maintain that speed for the person you’re towing. Accelerate gently so as not to throw the rider behind you off-course.

Be mindful of your turns. Turning can cause the wake to fade and even disappear. You’ll need to turn on the water, but make sure you understand how this affects the rider. Also, try not to turn when the rider is cutting in.

PCM® Engines

Another key ingredient to creating better wake is having the power you need to get what you want. That’s why each Nautique boat comes with a Pleasurecraft® Marine engine. These motors are designed to give you what the company calls hyperperformance. These engines are designed to be perfect at every turn, no matter how small the part.

Cleaning Up the Wake

Sometimes, before you can go big, you need to think small. A bigger wake doesn’t mean anything if you need to clean it up. This may involve adjusting the trim, which will allow the bow to rise and the stern to push deeper into the water for a better wake. We recommend spending a little time practicing this to really get it down.

Another trick may be to more evenly distribute the weight on your boat. If there’s too much weight on one side, it may affect the quality of your wake. Move around cargo, ask passengers to spread out, or add weight to balance things out.

Integrated Stringer System

The Nautique design is going to come in strong with the integrated stringer system, perfected to give you strength, convenience, and efficiency in your ballast system. It’s incorporated into the stringer grid to keep it away from storage areas while also increasing the integrity of the hull. It’s the perfect all-in-one design that gives you better performance and an overall better experience.
